F.O. HOLDING (Frontal/Occipital Holding)

  1. Notice the emotion you are feeling.  Name it.  Are you scared, angry, ashamed, disappointed, discouraged?

  2. Place one palm on your forehead and one palm on the back of your head.  As you wallow in the feeling, allow your head to move however it wants to.  It may sway, shake, rock, bob or just stay still.  Hold this posture for 2-4 minutes or until you feel like you’re done.

  3. Thoughts or feelings.  What’s going on now.  If there’s still a negative feeling what exactly is it about?  And repeat above procedure.

  4. When you feel calm, write down your learnings, whatever comes to mind that supports growth, happiness, and understanding.
